I have been asked by my school to do a SAFEA psychology test for foreign teachers. I looked at the test, but many of the questions have a standard of English which means the interpretation of them is questionable. Also, a lot of the questions are about quite obscure facts regarding Chinese food and history. Also, some of the questions, and I’m thinking of one about world geography, are just plain wrong with no room in the multiple choices for guessing what the required correct answer is. I’ve tried looking on the internet about this test but have found nothing. Any comments or advice? I’ve been teaching successfully in Chinese state high-schools for 4 years, and am a registered teacher from New Zealand with many years of experience there, but this is a new one to me. I don’t want to be regarded as psychologically unsuitable by whomever designed this test.
