Middle Kingdom Life strictly respects and protects the anonymity of all those who participate in our online surveys. The records kept of your survey responses do not contain any identifying information about you unless you have voluntarily submitted your e-mail address for the express purpose of receiving a personal reply. Our surveys do not use identifying tokens. Each survey places an anonymous cookie on your computer for the purpose of flagging that you have already taken the survey or for allowing you to complete the survey at a later time.
Information obtained from the survey will only be reported in aggregate form: No one specific response will ever be identified. Data are used for improving the overall quality of the website and for research purposes only. Any respondent who chooses to identify him or herself, for the purpose of receiving a personal reply, can be assured of complete privacy and confidentiality. Specific identities and e-mail addresses obtained through blog registration or through survey responses will never be sold or shared with anyone.
By posting a question or comment to our Reader's Question & Answer forum, you are granting us permission to publish the question as well as edit the subject title and content for the purpose of search engine optimization.
Questions that are not considered to have general applicability to others may be answered privately via e-mail correspondence. Of course, this requires that we have your e-mail address, so if you'd like to be guaranteed a response, you should first register an account.
We often receive e-mail correspondence from teachers that contain very valuable information that could be of general use to others. In such cases we will specifically ask for the author's permission to use well-disguised excerpts from that correspondence in appropriate places in either the Guide or blog. At no time would any such material be used without the author's permission.
