Based on Sinobear's review, we decided to give K.K. Rabbit's Food Delivery Service a try last night and were extremely pleased.

The best way to order is simply to navigate to their website (http://www.kkrabbit.com.cn/), click on the Ordering button and then peruse the restaurants serviced in your area.

I was surprised when the phone was answered entirely in English "Hi, you've reached K.K. Rabbit, how can I help you?" That doesn't happen very often in China, suggesting that this service is used primarily (if not only) by foreigners.

To avoid confusion, you order dishes by number. At the end of the order, you are given the subtotal for the food and then told what the delivery charge will be: In our case, the delivery charge came to a very modest 15 yuan.

What truly surprised us was that the food was delivered piping hot, as if it had just been taken out of the oven.

We will definitely be using K.K. Rabbit again.

Good Points Excellent way to get delivery from restaurants that don't otherwise offer home delivery. Phone was actually answered in English. Food was delivered within quoted timeframe and was served piping hot! Delivery charge was only 15 yuan as the restaurant I ordered from was within 3km.
Bad Points As mentioned in the user review, the website seems to be set up for taking online orders but apparently doesn't work. However, if you enter your address, the system will calculate your distance from the restaurant of your choice and displays the delivery charge so you will know exactly what the total cost will be before you even call.

The other negative point worth mentioning is that using this service will generally be more expensive than ordering directly from any restaurant that does offer delivery. For example, I live less than 3km from Danny's Bagel and Italian Restaurant. The delivery charge directly from Danny's is 8 yuan while if I call KK Rabbit, the service charge will be a total of 15.

I'm writing this review whilst noshing on onion rings, chicken fingers, mashed potatoes and thick-cut fries before digging into my Guinness Pie from The Paddy Field. Delivery time from phone call to my door: less than 40 minutes (although on the phone they said 70 minutes).

Food was delivered hot and with coupons for 10 RMB off the next order over 100 RMB (not hard to do).
Delivery charge was 36 RMB but let me put this into perspective for those of you who are akin to baby birds (Cheap! Cheap! Cheap!). From my apartment (Baiyun District) to The Paddy Field would take me 20 minutes by taxi and costs about 21 RMB. Return taxi, 30 minutes and 25 RMB. By sitting on my duff for 40 minutes, I paid less and spent less time to enjoy my dinner.

The only thing missing is the Guinness, but 7-11 also delivers so my bases are covered!

Good Points You can order online (see 'bad points') or by phone.
Delivery time for non-peak hours is much faster than promised.
Courteous English-speaking delivery personnel.
Telephone service is great AFTER the initial getting your address/location sorted out.
Bad Points I registered on their website but it wouldn't let me login. Not sure who, or how to, contact to rectify the situation.
